Last year, I can still can the website to sign-up Google Apps Standard Edition - which is free account for anybody - just that the link is very small wording and not obviously show in the website. But, yesterday I have been trying to look for the link and it is not there anymore.
Luckily, I search from twitter ("sign up Google Apps standard edition") and I got the link to sign for the free account.

I think Google is not going to offer this free Apps account for public, unless school, or non-profile organizations. I have check though the website and then I still end-up to the Premier Edition (USD 25 per user per year) which too costly - especially most small companies staff are not using all the features from the Google Apps.
