I have started to use Twitter for a very short period, with a nickname. Yes, it is very popular, but it has 140 characters limit, very suitable for update about a person current status. In its website, user just need to fill-up the Twitter question: "What are you doing ?". However, I think they should asking "What is in you mind ?" would be appropriate.
Today I read a The Star newspaper under section INTECH, talking about the overwhelming of Twitter in very short time compare to Facebook which took few years to grow from adolescent chat site. According to compete.com, about the blog entry ranks Twitter as the third largest social network after Facebook and MySpace. And the surprisingly, the Twitter has an average age of 31 compare to 27 for MySpace and 26 for Facebook. LinkedIn (the business-networking) has older median age which is 41.
