Today, I have been spending long time just to troubleshooting the problem of join to AD domain. Checking every related to networking, firewall, DHCP, DNS configuration, but still could not find the reason of joining the domain. Every settings have been double checked, just that the client computer (Windows XP professional cannot contact with the Active Directory in Windows Server 2008 Standard Edition).
Until I disable the antivirus, the client can now can contact with AD and I managed to join the domain. The client is running the same antivirus (Norton Internet Security 2009) as other clients but just do not why this client cannot join domain.
The antivirus is uninstalled and then re-install again after joining the domain, and now it is working fine.
