"Access is denied" error when running any .msc file

Today, I am troubleshooting the wireless issue reported by my company staff, and it is related to unable to display the wireless network list - especially she is the hotel. And it is hard for this kind of problem as it is depending the wireless strength at both ends and the wireless router is not at my location.

Since I have a Linksys Wireless-G USB adapter WUSB54GC, I install the driver + software (downloaded from internet last few months) but during the installation the USB adapter is not with me. And I advise her to get this adapter from me for her next travelling.

I just do not understand why after the installation of the USB adapter driver, I encounter a weird problem: "Access is denied" error message prompted, whenever accessing any .msc administrative tools, eg. compmgmt.msc and services.msc even if the current logon user account has the permission to run it.

At first, I thought of virus infection, about my anti-virus scanning resulting do not discover any virus (except for a trojan house, it is not the cause of the "Access is denied" issue). But then I uninstall the Linksys driver software, the problem still persist.

After searching the internet for the possible problem, someone has published an registry file to fix this issue and I tried it and it works.

My conclusion, I suspect the error is related to either Linksys driver software has some problem or hardware required to plugged in during the installation.
