I have bought a new computer system, about 3 weeks ago, but recently, I experience many time the computer is hang/no responding. When it hang, the display is still (no blue screen and no error) and the mouse is not moving and keyboard press also not responding (even with Crtl+Alt+Del also can no work) the only way, is to use the reset button or power down switch. I am not sure whether it related to hardware issue and not software problem. My newly purchase computer components are follows:
Intel Core2 Duo E8500 @ 3.16GHz, Intel DG35EC Desktop Board, Kingston HyperX 6400/4GB memory, Seagate 500GB, cache 32MB, SATA, Barracuda 7200.11 SATA 3Gb/s, 500 GB, 7,200 rpm, Model: ST3500320AS, Also, 2 units of IDE harddisk (Seagate and Western Digital, both are 160GB), Microsoft Windows VISTA Business OEM, 32-bit
Findings,
I have tried to unplug/plug again the memory chips and ensure it is properly placed, but I still encounter the same problem.
Anyway, yesterday I have done some tests and the issue seen to be solved. And I would like to share my experience here with you all. And I will still continue to monitor the stability of the system especially if running 24-hour for few days.
Event Log show :
A request to write to the file "C:\ProgramData\.... at offset for bytes succeeded, but took an abnormally long time (60 seconds) to be serviced by the OS. In addition, 0 other I/O requests to this file have also taken an abnormally long time to be serviced since the last message regarding this problem was posted 1130 seconds ago. This problem is likely due to faulty hardware....
With this event log, initially, I suspect the harddisk problem, so I have changed different IDE harddisks (I have tried with 3 different IDE harddisks) but it still giving PC hang issue. Then, I decided to boot SATA harddisk and install Windows onto this SATA harddisk, and now it haven't giving me the error yet.

The problem highly due to the IDE controller bcos I have replaced 3 different IDE harddisks but PC hang is still happen, until I change my settings to boot to SATA harddisk. So, is to say that the motherboard was not designed to boot/install Windows O/S into harddisk with IDE connection.
