Limitation of D-Link DNS-323 network storage

I am quite disappointed with the D-Link DNS-323 network storage, especially the file/folder sharing security or permission setting.

The permission settings for shared folder is very confusing, because each time I define a user/group permission to access a folder, it will create a new and different share name.

For example, suppose that I have a directory called "Sales", then I define and to allow a user named "Alex" to access "Sales" with read-write permissions. Then, DNS-323 will automatically create a new share named "Sales" which Alex can access it.

And then I allow another user named "Cindy" to access "Sales" with read-write access also. The system will create a separate new share named "Sales-1" which Cindy can access. But, Cindy will not be able to access the share named "Sales" and Alex cannot access "Sales-1".

When more and more users & groups are created, this can cause a lot more confusing and difficult to administer.

Yes, D-Link DNS-323 is cheaper solutions for network storage with fault-torrent (redundant hard drives) comparing to other devices.
