HOW TO : Add animated images into Google Sites

When we insert an animated GIF image (by uploading) to a page in Google Sites, it will be converted into a non-animated PNG or JPG file. Anyway, the easy way to work-around is to:

* Upload your animated image to Google Photos (Picasa Web Album) & get the URL of the image.
* Choose to use "Web Address URL" when insert a image into Google Sites.

For detail step-by-step guide, see below.

1. Go to Google Photos (Picasa Web Album), and upload your image. I suggest you to create a new album just for this purpose.

2. Click 'Choose file' button and find your animated GIF file and click 'Open' button. Then click 'Upload file' button.

3. Once uploaded you'll see the animated GIF - it looks like it's in a plain document icon. Right-click the icon and copy the image URL.

4. Edit your Google Sites' page, then insert the animated GIF and then select 'Insert image'.

5. Click the 'Web address (URL)' and paste the URL into the box . Then click 'Add image'.
