According to Novell President & CEO Ronald Hovsepian, their Suse Desktop Linux is unlikely to be popular in next 3-5 years time, mainly enterprise-related. Novell is currently focusing the technology on their sponsored OpenSUSE community in which the project has done so much on testing and feedback from 2 million users, and this will then used to enhance their SUSE Linux product. They also realised that the strong demand from enterprise desktop users, mainly from the India and Asia-Pacific, based on many contracts signed with their corporate customers. However they do not expecting corporate customers from Western Europe and USA.
